Mountsorrel Beat – Weekly Update

This week your local Beat Team have been out across Mountsorrel proactively tackling crime and supporting the community.

Officers have carried out patrols in known hotspot locations, including The Green, Halsted Park and the Heritage Railway line on Bond Lane. These patrols aim to deter anti-social behaviour and provide reassurance to residents.

Following concerns from residents regarding speeding on Walton Way, officers conducted speed checks at the location. During this time, 70 vehicles passed through, with only one recorded slightly over the limit. This is a positive result, showing good compliance with the existing traffic calming measures.

Officers also assisted with the car cruise across Charnwood on Tuesday evening, helping to minimise disruption and ensure the safety of those involved and the wider public. In addition, officers have supported other events across the area, maintaining a visible presence and helping to keep the community safe.
